First NYC Post – Brooklyn Bridge & Dumbo

Brooklyn Bridge

So I’m finally here in New York City! And what better way to start my adventure here than a blog post from the iconic Brooklyn Bridge! I’ve been to New York twice before for, both trips were around 5 days long and I never managed to squeeze in a trip to the Brooklyn Bridge before. I was so excited to see it in the flesh and explore the area of Dumbo in Brooklyn. I was not disappointed. It was such a beautiful day it felt like I stepped into a postcard or onto a film set. The sun didn’t stop shining for the first week of being here and the city has just looked so beautiful.

Dumbo

After strolling across the bridge and getting some shots we went back towards Dumbo for some lunch and exploring. I saw the amazing view of the Manhattan Bridge from Washington St. for the first time in the flesh and made it one of my first Instagrams of New York (@lazygirlwardrobe) We also sat at Pebble Beach in awe of the city before us and the Hudson River lapping at our feet. We walked further and treated ourselves to some hot Apple Cider from the Brooklyn Ice Cream factory and watched the world go by. I already can’t wait to visit again.

I am settling into New York life well so far, no major disasters so far. Once I get really settled and I will to able to keep discovering new things this city has to offer.

Thanks for reading! xxx
